Alpha Lipoic Acid has the unique ability to work as an anti oxidant in both water and fat soluble environments. This allows it to scavenge free radicals inside the cell and in the lipid membrane. Also provides protection against a wider range of free radicals than water soluble vitamin C and fat soluble vitamin E.
